That’s not accidental.

Infrastructure feels neutral.
Concrete. Steel. Code. Software.
But standards determine:
Who is protected
What is considered “acceptable risk”
Which communities receive investment
How durability is defined
Science does not disappear after publication.

Understanding who shaped that science — and whose contributions were minimized — matters.
